Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winner TJ Stiles speaks at the library.

Library Chairperson Margit Johnson welcomed everyone to this special Carnegie Library Centennial event. Carleton Bookstore manager Tripp Ryder with the help of an audience member introduced Carleton Alumni T. J. Stiles. Mr. Stiles spoke about his first book “Jesse James; last Rebel of the Civil War” and his new award winning book; “The First Tycoon: The Epic Life of Cornelius Vanderbilt.” He also mentioned the book he is currently working on about General George Armstrong Custer. We look forward to reading more about intriguing people in American history with the help of Mr. Stiles.
